Our mind is constantly flowing with auditory and visual images which is defined by our sensory patterns. Sound generated using invisible frequencies are perceived by out auditory perception. “Sound Memory” in an installation which highlights the sounds of the City in which it surrounds, Pombal. After identifying and researching iconic locations throughout the city, recording were taken, edited and distributed strategically throughout the exhibit. These sounds are designed to trigger the visitor’s subconscious memories of these locations and help place them there. The visual experience which accompanies this audio is displayed using geometric imagery which is projected through water vapour. These projections take you on a journey of abstract boundaries with dissolving scenarios which subsequently create a unique Deep Thought experience.
